From the Beginning to the Next Chapter

It began with one country house in Piedmont and an idea: to make it possible to own holiday homes in Europe in a new way. Ten years later, MyHomes has grown to more than 90 homes either completed or underway, with a significantly larger community of owners. When the entire team travelled to Piedmont to celebrate the anniversary, the journey came full circle – from the very first MyHomes home to the projects already shaping the next chapter. The First MyHomes Home

As a very special part of our anniversary celebrations, we had the pleasure of visiting the beautiful country house belonging to MH01 COMFORT and celebrating in its wonderful surroundings. It is a place of particular significance to us, as this is where the MyHomes journey began with the first of many homes.

MH01 COMFORT was established in 2017, and shortly afterwards, the house was purchased as the first of five homes for the owner association. This makes it the very first of the more than 90 homes that MyHomes now manages or is currently renovating for new owner associations.

Our gracious hosts, Martin and Karen, have been part of the journey from the very beginning. They shared stories about life as MyHomes owners and the many memories that have been created in the home over the years.

With the sunset as our backdrop, we enjoyed an al fresco dinner on the terrace, accompanied by Piedmontese delicacies and local wine from our good friends and winemakers, Lorenzo and Gabriel, who poured wines from their family winery.

We also invited our local service partners to join us, as they play an important role in the day-to-day running of the homes and are always there when the unexpected happens. This close collaboration helps ensure that our owners’ homes are always in good hands – and an evening like this reminds us of the value of the people behind MyHomes.

From Nizza Monferrato to Cavatore, Canelli and Santo Stefano Belbo

The team travelled through Piedmont’s rolling countryside in three minibuses, passing the many charming villages that MyHomes owners have come to know so well. We visited a handful of established homes, each one brought to life in its own unique way and set in very different surroundings.

High on our list was a visit to the country house belonging to MH16 COMFORT, the newest MyHomes home in Piedmont, completed in summer 2026. Once again, we were welcomed by incredibly hospitable owners, Henrik and Inge, who invited us inside.

It was a different experience from visiting the country house belonging to MH01 COMFORT. Henrik and Inge were staying in their home for the very first time, giving them a very different perspective from Martin and Karen, who have been returning to their home for many years.

What both owner families share is a strong sense of belonging and a genuine joy in the place. While Martin and Karen shared memories from their years in the home, Henrik and Inge spoke about the anticipation of finally seeing and experiencing their home after following the process through photos and regular updates.

Ruins and Dreams for the Future

We also visited three future homes, two of which are still at a very early stage, making it difficult to imagine them as modern luxury homes. The third has come much further in its transformation and already has the foundations for becoming an exceptional home for its future owners.

At the building sites, we met the contractors working on the projects, Alfonso and Gian Maria, who, together with MyHomes’ project managers, showed us around and talked us through the work – both what has already been completed and everything that still lies ahead.

One of the two early-stage projects is an old ruin that is only now about to be restored, while the other is being built from the ground up using some of the materials from the original house that once stood on the site. Seeing the homes at such different stages of the process brought home the level of detail and craftsmanship that goes into creating the finished result.

At the same time, these are homes that will soon be ready to become just that – homes for new owner associations. And for us, it is a reminder that MyHomes continues to grow the number of places where families can feel at home.

More Than Bricks and Mortar

The three days in Piedmont reminded us that a MyHomes home is never simply a home. It is the contractor who knows every stone in the walls. The service partner who makes sure everything is ready when the owners arrive. The project manager who has guided the process from ruin to home. The team at Dronningens Tværgade, working behind the scenes on everything from legal and financial matters to the day-to-day contact with our owners. And the owners themselves, who fill the homes with life, dinners and memories.

It is the sum of all these people, both in Denmark and at each destination, that can turn an old country house or a renovated apartment into a place you long to return to. And a trip like this also says something about who we are. We are passionate about what we do, we have fun along the way, and we are true lovers of the good life. That is the same joy we want to share with our owners.
