The dream was born on the back of a napkin

The first stones of MyHomes were laid back in 2015. Founder and initiator Finn Christensen, after many years as a top executive in organisations such as IBM and Maersk, was at a point in his life where he wanted to create his own business together with other passionate people.

Finn has always been fascinated by travelling and experiencing the local life that unfolds in other parts of the world. As he loves living life with a passion for homes and interior design, the idea for MyHomes was born out of a personal desire to unite special travel experiences with convenience and common sense.

The first conceptual thoughts for MyHomes were written on the back of a napkin in the basement of Lagkagehuset (Ole & Steen) on Hellerup Strandvej, and after months of preparation, in September 2016 we were ready to launch the first version of the website under the name myhomes.dk, and the journey had begun.

From the start, the goal has been to create a meaningful concept that brings joy and quality of life. By sharing ownership with other people, we wanted to give more people the opportunity to own holiday homes in attractive locations in Europe for less than it costs to buy one holiday home.

The future calls for more people to share resources, and we wanted to create a model where you as an owner share finances, resources and joys with the other owners, and then it would be our finest job to take care of all the practicalities of running and managing the holiday homes.

It took about a year to complete the first association, MH01 Comfort, and the first 29 owners have since been joined by several hundred owners in various Comfort, Premium and Quantus associations. The many owners are enjoying their investment in quality of life, convenience and freedom.

We give your travel adventures a home

As an owner, when you put your investment in our hands, you can look forward to following the process of developing your future European homes. Our development team works uncompromisingly to find the right homes in exquisite locations that have that special potential to be transformed into MyHome homes you’ll love to return to time and time again.

That’s because we’re known for our style and interior design, for which we’re highly praised by our owners:

“It’s absolutely stunning. Cosy, homely, stylish and every little detail has been thought of. Congratulations to all of us.”

Our support team are the “everyday heroes” who always have your back when you need assistance. From our office in Copenhagen, we find solutions to any challenges that may arise so you can enjoy your holiday.

MyHomes is continuously growing with more associations and owners, and we always look forward to welcoming new owners. We also love having visitors to our Copenhagen office, where we’re happy to offer a guided tour and coffee. This applies to both owners and those who are curious to learn more about MyHomes or just want to say hello.

We are geared to handle growth and are driven to develop. Our business is streamlined and efficient, while maintaining a high level of service in a professional and personalised way.

With a sharp attention to detail, we strive to create homes that combine quality, functionality, aesthetics and sound finances.

The MyHomes team

Our homes must deliver what we promise

We build and develop homes that will last for many years. Our focus is to deliver high quality, functional and aesthetic homes so that you, the owner, can enjoy your investment for the future, worry free. Homes has a major impact on our existence and quality of life, but also leaves a footprint on climate change.

We are very conscious of this, which is why we prioritise preserving buildings and materials rather than building new ones, buying recycled materials and incorporating energy-saving solutions into homes wherever possible. Each home has its own expression, which is well thought out and stylish. The interior design consists of Scandinavian design spiced with quirky and creative elements from the local area.

Our aim is to manage the owners’ investment responsibly, and to continually become better at developing our homes to meet the future needs of the modern homeowner.

The horizon is constantly moving

MyHomes is growing. We’re constantly looking to innovate and refine our concept – and strive to spread the word about shared homes. We are curious and like to think of alternative solutions. We want to strengthen our ability to look even further into the horizon, and therefore focus on digitalisation and automation – both for the benefit of MyHomes, and in particular for the owners. In addition, we seek exciting and sustainable collaborative relationships so that we can continue to offer the highest quality homes and services.

The art of doing something different

We are aware that our main focus is to develop and operate MyHomes homes to the full satisfaction of the owners – and preferably more. But we are also a company that likes to surprise and challenge. We are open and outgoing when new opportunities present themselves, and we cultivate and nuture meaningful relationships. That’s why we’re excited about our new collaboration with Martin Asbæk Gallery, where the gallery is lending works to MyHomes homes. The works are carefully selected to match the décor and atmosphere of the different locations. This way, more Danes will have the opportunity to enjoy art in beautiful and homely settings around Europe.
