A Unique Apartment in the Heart of El Born

Emma Kristensen, Communications Specialist

With large, light-filled rooms and eight traditional French balconies, this will become a dream city apartment for MH19 PREMIUM. The home is located in the vibrant El Born neighbourhood of Barcelona, just a short walk from everything — including the harbour and the beaches of Barceloneta. The apartment also offers significant potential and is set to undergo a remarkable transformation. We look forward to both the process and the final result.

A Location That Has It All — and Then Some

With its abundance of art, history, and impressive architecture, Barcelona is a city you never truly finish exploring. A natural place to begin is the iconic Sagrada Família, before continuing through the elegant boulevards of Eixample, filled with boutiques, cafés, and atmospheric squares.

If you are in the mood for sea air and the scent of saltwater, Barcelona’s long beachfront promenade is just within easy reach. As the day winds down, there are few better ways to end it than with tapas and a glass of wine at one of the city’s many restaurants or wine bars.

The apartment is set in a historic building that has been carefully maintained over the years and still retains much of its original character. With eight French balconies facing three charming streets, the natural light is exceptionally generous for a Barcelona home. The narrow street below is full of local life and atmosphere, which can be enjoyed from a chair on one of the balconies. The surrounding neighbourhood is both well-kept and full of charm, with cafés, shops, and everyday conveniences right on the doorstep.

Historic Details and Modern Comfort

The apartment measures approximately 106 m², and once the renovation is complete, it will offer three bedrooms and two bathrooms. In addition, we are exploring the possibility of creating two extra smaller rooms that could be used as a home office, guest room, reading nook, or adapted to other needs.

The character of the apartment is especially expressed through its high ceilings with exposed vaulted structures and visible wooden beams. The original stone walls also contribute to the home’s unique atmosphere, and we hope to highlight selected sections as part of the final design.

The apartment will be furnished to a high Danish standard, carefully combined with the strong local aesthetic. The aim is to create a sense of coming home, enriched by the excitement and cultural charm that define Barcelona.
