Book all year

At MyHomes, we have developed a unique booking system that ensures everyone has a fair chance of getting the stays they want, and at the same time ensures that the homes are not running empty.

As a co-owner of five holiday homes with MyHomes, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to book the weeks you want. Because of the owners’ different lifestyles, family constellations, and preferences, there is always availability in the booking calendar — leaving room for both planning and spontaneity. With concrete examples, we’ll show why sharing five homes between 29 co-owners is the sweet spot for a co-ownership concept.

Points system – what is a week worth?

You and the other MyHomes families will receive a personal login to a user page at MyHomes. When you are logged in, you can find information about everything related to your five homes and, of course, make your online bookings for the homes.

As a co-owner, you will receive 20 points each year, which you use to book your homes. You can always see how many points you have used and how many you have left with which you can book your accommodation in the booking system. The price of a booking depends on the season and the home you wish to book. All details are clearly visible in the booking system, which follows a simple division into four levels:

– Top season – 4 points

– High season – 3 points

– Regular season – 2 points

– Low season – 1 point

The booking system – how it works

Based on the fundamental principle that it must be fair, intuitive and manageable, we have developed a unique booking system that ensures easy access to the homes, when it suits you. Take a tour of our booking system here.

Plenty of weeks to meet your holiday needs

Five homes, each with its own calendar, mean a total of 260 available weeks per year — around 60 of which fall during peak school holiday periods. As a MyHomes co-owner, you’ll have many options when it comes to booking stays — even though you share with 28 other families.

In fact, each owner has access to an average of nine weeks per year. You decide how to use them: 20 weeks in the low season, five to six in the peak season — or most commonly, a combination of both.

You’re free to book several weeks in a row, and you’re welcome to gift your weeks to friends or family whenever you’d like to share the experience.

Concrete booking example for 2025

Below is a real example from the current 2025 booking calendar in one of our co-ownership groups. At this stage, all owners have received 12 of their 20 points and have booked stays across their five homes. The white circles indicate weeks when all five homes are fully booked, while the green circles show weeks that are still available in one or more homes. As you can see, the vast majority of weeks remain available even after everyone has had the chance to make bookings.

In fact, 44 out of 51 weeks are still open (MyHomes reserves one week per home annually for inspections and maintenance), which means 86% of all weeks are currently available. Only 8 weeks in this group are fully booked across all five homes for 2025.

The next example shows the same group’s booking calendar for the remainder of 2024, after all owners have had the opportunity to use their full 20 points. As it stands, 22 out of the remaining 40 weeks are still available — equal to 55% availability.

93% receive their first choice

Based on thousands of bookings, we can confidently say that owners almost always get their top choices. In fact, 93% of MyHomes owners report that they were able to book the exact weeks they wanted.

Naturally, co-owning a set of homes means taking others’ preferences into account. But with a large selection of weeks to choose from, it’s rarely a challenge to find what you’re looking for.

If another family has booked a week you’re interested in, you can easily add yourself to the waiting list — and you’ll be notified automatically if the home becomes available.

What’s more, the booking calendar is constantly evolving. Plans change, and weeks are regularly rebooked. In one of our co-ownership groups alone, 62 weeks changed hands last year.

This flexibility supports one of our core goals: making sure the homes are well used — and never sit empty unnecessarily.
