We are pleased to present the second home for MH17 COMFORT – a charming Italian farmhouse with great potential and a beautiful location in Piedmont. Nestled in the middle of the vineyards and close to the town of Alba, the house offers breathtaking panoramic views stretching as far as the eye can see.

Read more below and explore photos and visualizations of this exciting project – which could soon become yours.

Authentic Farmhouse Charm

The house is situated on a roughly 6,000 m2 plot featuring its own vineyard. Access is via a small municipal asphalt road, followed by a private gravel drive where we plan to plant a row of cypress trees.

The house itself dates back to the early 1900s and has remained in the same family since it was built. With a size of about 200 m2 and solid structural condition, we are able to preserve the external walls – which we will expose to reveal the beautiful Langhe stones wherever possible.

A new roof will be installed using traditional “coppa” tiles, and the eaves will be built with exposed, profiled rafters, staying true to local tradition. We will also slightly adjust the roofline to enhance the house’s overall aesthetic and create a simpler, more elegant appearance.

The existing window openings will be preserved, although several will be converted into French doors, and we will add a few new openings in both gables.

Inside, the house features many original details that we will preserve and build upon – including vaulted terracotta ceilings and old tile floors on the upper floor, along with the beautiful central staircase typical of historic farmhouses (“cascinas”).

The house will offer plenty of space for family and friends, featuring 4 bedrooms and 2–3 bathrooms. One bedroom and bathroom will be located on the ground floor.

The plot will allow for a pool of at least 4×10 meters, as well as a covered “portico” with a dining area, outdoor kitchen, and pizza oven. The outdoor spaces will be designed to offer areas of both sun and shade, offering breathtaking views in every direction across the stunning landscape.

We aim to develop a home that is functional and comfortable to enjoy year-round, while requiring minimal maintenance for many years to come.

To give you an idea of the look and feel we aim to create, we have prepared a series of visualizations – of course, with reservations for possible changes.

Discover some of the beautiful authentic details we aim to preserve, along with the new visualizations below.

Location

This house is located within the absolute “sweet spot” where we seek to find MyHomes residences in Piedmont – right in the heart of the vineyards and in an area protected under UNESCO regulations.
The home is just a few kilometers from the small village of Castiglione Tinella, easily accessible on foot or by bike, where you can enjoy a coffee at the local bar, shop for essentials at the small grocer, or dine at the village restaurant. For larger shopping trips, Canelli and Santo Stefano Belbo are nearby. The main town of the area, Alba, is just a 25-minute drive away.

Throughout the region, you are constantly reminded of what everything revolves around: wine. From the house, you can follow the seasonal work in the fields – and during the harvest season, you’ll experience the unique atmosphere as the grapes are handpicked and transported by small tractors along the country roads.

Below you can see photos from the village of Tinella as well as images of the property and the surrounding views.
